Villa Solgården was built in 1904 as an idyllic wooden villa in Hanko. Originally serving as a holiday residence for railway workers, it represents Hanko’s long tradition of summer living. Its location near the sea and the spa park has always shaped the atmosphere of the villa.

In the summer of 2015, Staffan Tallqvist restored the historic villa and reopened it as a charming Bed and Breakfast. The renovation, designed by architect Joanna Maury Ahola, was carried out with respect for the building’s history and original character.

Today, Villa Solgården offers calm and personal accommodation in Hanko, close to Plagen beach and the Casino. The main building features 13 rooms, with three additional rooms in the garden house, Lilla Solgården. The villa has been brought back to life with care, respecting its original atmosphere.
